Mr. MRI

On Friday Owen had a MRI done to rule out a spinal issue. He has a couple of the warning signs of a tethered cord (anal stenosis and a dimple), so his GI was proactive and ordered the test to rule it out.

Owen was a CHAMP. Although a long wait at the hospital meant he hadn't eaten in about 8 hours, Owen was happy and friendly. We had a minor miscap when he misjudged a shelf and ended up with a big bump on his head, but a little ice fixed him right up.

The test had to be done under general anesthesia, so Owen came up from the procedure still sleeping like an angel. As soon as he opened his eyes, he smiled and sat right up like nothing ever happened. And, I guess to him, nothing did happen.

I've been proud of that little guy so many times since he was born and this experience ranks on the top of the list. He was just incredible!

PS - If you notice in the picture two things are occuring that happen all day everyday. Owen is playing with something that is NOT a toy and Chris is answering emails.
